WORD PERFECT TRANSLATIONS WINS Wednesday August 30th, 2006: Word Perfect Translations has been awarded the contract to provide interpretation services for the Refugee Legal Service, an office established by the Legal Aid Board to provide confidential and independent legal services to persons applying for asylum in Ireland. Word Perfect will translate on behalf of international visitors and citizens or for those with immigration or deportation issues. The contract is for one year and may potentially be extended for an additional year. The translations landscape in Ireland is much changed, with the influx of international citizens, as well as advanced technology making global business an every day occurrence. In the five years since Word Perfect’s establishment, the demand for various and sometimes obscure languages has been very fast paced. While the requirement is highest for Russian, Polish, Lithuanian and Polish speakers, there has been a significant increase in the need for Arab language translators in Ireland, due in part to the recent conflict in the Middle East. “Word Perfect’s readiness to provide a solution to the unprecedented demand for translators has made us one of Ireland’s largest indigenous and independent translations company,” said Olga Gashi, Managing Director, Word Perfect Translations.
