May 2012
This month, Word Perfect organised two training seminars in community interpreting with its interpreters. The seminar was very useful and all the interpreters were delighted to take part in it. It gave them a great opportunity to meet their fellow interpreters and give each other support and advice on how best to cope with all the difficult scenarios community interpreting may throw at them! Feedback was very positive indeed!

April 2012
This month we had another record month in our translation department. Our new contracts are keeping us extremely busy and on our toes. To thank our dedicated staff we had a "lunch time treat" in our corporate HQ in the Capel Building. We also are delighted to welcome a new project manager on board for our office in Almaty. We wish him all the best in his new role.

March 2012
This month, Word Perfect were delighted to have won both the interpretation and translation contracts for The Garda Ombudsman. Needless to say we are thrilled to have won two more state contracts. We look forward to enjoying a good working relationship with them! This reaffirms the company's secure position in the Irish translation and interpreting market.

February 2012
This month, we had our office social evening in the Harold’s Cross Greyhound Stadium. This evening gave us all an opportunity to let our hair down and all of the staff of the company truly enjoyed the evening. Many thanks to our Social Butterfly for organising such a fantastic night, and for making sure we all got home safely! We look forward to many more nights like this one ;-)

Also in February, we are thrilled to announce that we won the contract for the provision of Interpreting and Translation Services to the Refugee Legal Services and the Legal Aid Board. We are delighted to have won this Contract, and we look forward to developing yet another successful working relationship with such an important client.

January 2012
We are happy to announce that our non-executive director, Olga Shajaku (Gashi) in now successfully pursuing her new business venture as a partner of MS Solicitors, a firm specialising in criminal, immigration and family law matters. (www.ms-solicitors.ie)

A native Russian speaker qualified as a solicitor in Ireland, Olga is delighted to be able to provide legal advice to the greater Russian speaking community, as well as other immigrant and Irish clients.

We wish her the very best in this venture!

This month, we were delighted to have another opportunity to collaborate with staff in the Office of the Refugee Applications Commissioner, the Refugee Appeals Tribunal and the UN Refugee Agency UNHCR on a training seminar for some of our newer interpreters. This kind of training seminar will only serve to improve the already impressive quality and skill of our team of interpreters.

We are proud to announce that we have won the Supplementary Tender for the provision of Translation Services for the Courts Service. We look forward to a very prosperous working relationship with the Courts Service.

December 2011
We are proud to announce our recent achievement in winning the Public Sector Magazine 2012 Award for Excellence in Business in the "Language Translations" Category.

We were delighted to receive the Award and would like to thank you, our wonderful team, who made it happen! Well done Guys!

Also during the month of December, we held a number of social events aimed at increasing the cohesiveness of our already dynamic team. All staff members were involved in these events, from the Directors down to the most junior staff members. These events were highly successful, and have developed into a new tradition at Word Perfect Translations, which will only serve to further strengthen our team.

November 2011
November was another very busy month for us at Word Perfect Translations. We are proud to announce that we won the Supplementary translation tender for the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service. This, of course, has kept the Corporate Translations Department very busy, and we continue to strive to deliver a high quality service and the best value to our clients!

October 2011
Word Perfect Translations is proud to announce our new office located in The Capel Building, Dublin 7!!! We’re very excited about our new location – but who wouldn’t be at the same block full of Solicitors and Professionals!

The new office gives us a creative and exciting environment with stronger collaboration and efficiency – while still having fun. At Word Perfect Translations our people are everything! Quality of life and truly enjoying our friends and co-workers are the best rewards themselves.

September 2011
As part of our Continuous Professional Development programme, some of our staff members successfully completed a Professional Development course in conjunction with TSS, with a focus on developing our skills in the area of customer care. This course has helped our staff members to provide a high quality service to all of our customers, and the course inspired our staff members to develop some new and innovative systems to provide an even higher level of service to all of our customers.

August 2011:
Word Perfect were thrilled to assist Threshold in raising funds by entering two teams in their fundraising "Quiz" night. Threshold is an Irish charity which was founded in 1978; Threshold's aim is to secure a right to housing particularly for households experiencing the problems of poverty and exclusion. In the current economic climate, Word Perfect felt this was a decidedly important cause. Our team here at Word Perfect had a great night! A big thank you to all at Threshold!!

Word Perfect were also awarded the contract for provision of Interpretation Services to the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service, needless to say, here at Word Perfect we are delighted to have been awarded this contract.

July 2011:
July has been an extremely busy month for Word Perfect. Having successfully won 99% of the Supplementary Tenders under the Department of Justice framework agreement, our Irish language department has been working at top speed!

We must also give huge congratulations to the head of our Finance department for running in and completing the Flora Women's Mini-Marathon last month, well done Marilyn!!!!

June 2011:
Since being awarded a position on the framework for the provision of Translation Services to the Department of Justice, Word Perfect have successfully won numerous Supplementary Tenders for provision of Translation Services for all offices covered under the framework agreement. Approximately 95% of these Supplementary Tenders have been for translation Services into the Irish language.

May 2011:
Word Perfect were delighted to have been awarded the contract for sole provision of Translation Services to the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service. Word Perfect won this contract under the framework agreement with the Department of Justice.

April 2011:
Due to continued growth, Word Perfect were delighted to announce the expansion of our dedicated Irish language department. Ms Gráinne Murphy heads up our Irish language department. Gráinne holds a Masters in Linguistics and a Bachelor Degree in Clinical Speech and Language Studies. Gráinne speaks fluent Irish and French, she also teaches Irish language evening classes in Trinity College Dublin during semesters.

March 2011:
Word Perfect were thrilled to welcome Ms Pauline McKay to the team as our African & Asian languages department Senior Project Manager. With Pauline's attention to detail, she has become an invaluable asset to our team. Pauline has a passion for languages and speaks both German and French fluently. Pauline holds a Bachelor Degree in Languages for International Communication along with a Masters in Business Management.

This month, Word Perfect were also delighted to have been awarded a three year contract for sole provision of Translation and Interpretation Services to the PRTB (Private Residential Tenancies Board).
